The BQ24133 IC is a highly integrated standalone Li-Ion and Li-Polymer switched-mode battery charger designed for efficient and accurate battery management in modern electronic devices. With two built-in N-channel MOSFETs and a constant-frequency synchronous PWM controller, it provides seamless power path management and dynamic control over input current, charge current, and voltage. The charger supports input voltages ranging from 4.5 V to 17 V maximum input rating and adjustable overvoltage protection.

The BQ24133 IC can charge 1-cell, 2-cell, or 3-cell batteries at a fixed 4.2 V per cell, making it suitable for various portable electronics. Advanced thermal regulation ensures safe operation by dynamically limiting current to keep the junction temperature (TJ) within 120°C, while battery thermistor sensing suspends charging when the battery temperature falls outside the preset range.
